Chanel: Timeless Creations

So as most of you (ok maybe there are only a few of you readers out there) know I have recently attained an obsession with decorating which has now apparently led to fashion as well. Ive looked at every website that remotely relates to "hollywood regency" and "black and white decor". My eyes feel like they are bleeding I have spent so much time staring into pops of color, the french revolution, and Voltaire chairs that I can barely see straight. But beyond that I have thoroughly enjoyed these moments of internal bliss. The only problem is that I couldnt even begin to pay for one of the items I have found to decorate my new home, that I have yet to sign a lease on because I do not make enough money to pay for the lease.... wheww. Anyway back to the point, amist the hours and hours of searching for the perfect items I stumbled upon Chanel and thought that it would be neat to look at their preview for their fall collection. As I viewed the site I explored until I found the section of what would be their "blog" or better yet history and company news. It struck me as I was reading the section that Chanel is a magnificent example of the type of apartment I want. It was amazing to see that Karl and I were on the same page this season, our minds were in sync as we began to design what would be a memorable frame for our future. Anyway maybe more to add later but I had to share what a beautiful brand I have always loved but have now rediscovered. Have a look for yourself and see the beauty in what I have found.

At Home With Elle

I'm super excited about the new move with Bob. We are going to find a great apartment/loft and finally move in together. Okay, so maybe I'm jumping the gun, but interior decorating makes me so excited! Ive already picked the theme, Hollywood Regency, and for Christmas instead of my matching TiffanyandCo. necklace and bracelet, I had Bob buy all of Z Gallerie at Green Hills Mall. Crazy? Maybe, but I cant help myself. The 1930's theme of "Hollywood Regency" is full of damask, pops of bright colors, and push button pillows. "Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite!"

You may be thinking, "What a beautiful sight!", and it sure is gorgeous but dont let it fool you! This picture was the view from our room at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, NV. Now imagine looking at this view of Vegas then turning around and seeing a beautiful room with gorgeous lighting and a bathroom that is big enough to fit 20 people in it, sounds great right? Sure it is until you get into bed and wake up the next morning with bites the size of a small country all over your body. I knew my skin was sweet but not that sweet! Little did I know bed bugs are a common parasite in Vegas. These five star hotels are being raided by this common bug everyday. I woke up and all of a sudden realized that while I was sleeping I had managed to be bitten a good ten to twelve times and scratched the blood out of myself. Not only was I eaten alive by these varmits but the "venom" was spreading all over my skin. Disgusting? That's a complete understatement for what I experienced. Thankful that I bought extra concealer before I left Nashville, I covered many of the sores and they became barely noticable. Believe me when I say Benadryl is wonderful, but only until it rubs off on your clothes within about five minutes after applying. After a weekend of tiny flesh eating bugs, dancing so hard you sweat off fifteen pounds, three tubes of Benadryl and a hundred degree weather you can say I was excited to get back on the bird to Nashville. If you know me, you know that a little bed bug wont keep me from having the time of my life in Sin City. But the burdon was something I wouldn't ever want to deal with EVER again. So you may ask, "What did the management of Bellagio do for this situation?" ha well let me just say that we will NEVER stay at this hotel again. After keeping us in a line that wrapped all the way around the casino making us stay until an hour before we were supposed to board, the management asked us to leave our luggage and keep it for inspection. Riiigghhtt. Between the four of us we could have paid for the entire hotel with the items we had in our bags, they were not keeping our luggage. They proceeded to tell us that they would call us as soon as the "flesh eater inspectors" arrived later that day. This all took place at around 12 pm and we then arrived in Nashville around 9 pm. That is a good block of time for the hotel to call and they never did. Granted they took all room charges off the credit card but did not comp our room. Needless to say it has been a week and I am starting to see the scars from scratching my skin so hard. Our next trip to Vegas will not include the Bellagio. If you decide to stay there pleeeease bug spray the room and do not take any clothes you dont mind throwing away before you return home.

Are Men Really From Mars?

I would love to meet the man or woman who came up with the quote "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus". What is the truth behind this theory? I guess the obvious of men and women being from two completely different planets makes sense but is it really true?

Let me just go ahead and clarify that in fact we are all on the same planet, obviously, and we do in fact share many theories with men on relationships. We all want most of the same things and regardless of who tries to argue with me on this, it is the truth. I will now break down what the male species wants and why they want them.

Men want to be loved. Yes I said it, men want to feel that tingly butterfly feeling in the pit of their stomachs. I don't care who tries to argue a million times over that they just want sex because its not true. Let me explain, men feel the need, just as women do, to be needed and wanted by someone. They want the attention and comfort of having someone there that cares for them. Yes it is for sure that they do want sex, what human doesn't? But at the end of the day when the curtain is closed and the ego has no one to prove itself to, would you rather spend the night alone or with someone you care about? Not just someone who you care about, but a person that needs you and wants you just as badly as you do them. Stop shaking your head and trying to argue with me. We all want someone who we can be comfortable with and dance around naked after just waking up and making a complete fool of ourselves. Ok maybe that part is just me, but you get it right? No one wants to lay down next to someone and think, " Man i really need to [insert embarrassing gesture], I wonder if that will freak him/her out?".

Ladies, men want to be loved and not used. They also want a girl who is real. A girl who doesn't cling onto them and want to be in their presence 24/7. Get your own life!!! It is important to be two people when you have a relationship. Men don't want a girl who sits around waiting on them to make decisions all the time! Grow some balls girls! Keep your seperate lives but still make time for each other.

Now for the men. Most women think of 99% of the male population as pigs. Well i do feel sorry for the men. OK not so much, but in reality women are just as bad. People these days are throwing themselves out their like they don't have any self respect! You are who you hang out with and you ARE who you perceive yourself to be. If your friends are going around slapping random girls on the hind end then you too will eventually get the urge to do the same low life gesture. Is that really going to get you a good girl? Let me go ahead and answer that one, NO! So now you see why women are categorizing men as pigs. But that doesn't make it OK for women to do the same. Men, we women don't want your hand to slap our rear but instead take two more movements to grab our hand and introduce yourself. I promise after a few thousand women have a hand shake instead of an ass grab we will start to think differently. In a woman's world if Sally has an ass grab, her sisters cousins mothers daughters sons brothers fathers cousins aunt will know about it before daylight and just think... if that were a hand shake and you two hit it off then everyone goes home happy and not only your reputation is saved but slowly the entire male populations is as well!

We all just want to be loved and respected.
